The Story Behind Prairie Punx
I didn’t set out to build a brand.
I was just trying to survive.
A few years ago, everything I built — the life, the marriage, the plan — broke. And when it broke, so did I. The kind of heartbreak that doesn’t just hurt, it hollows you out. Betrayal doesn’t knock — it walks in through the front door and rearranges everything you thought you knew about love, loyalty, and yourself. They say the past can't be changed but when lies and betrayl are uncovered everything is instantly changed forever.
I was angry. I was lost. But I never stopped working. My role at the Chamber of Commerce kept me grounded — building up others while quietly wondering if I’d ever feel whole again myself. But even in the middle of that pain, I knew this: I wasn’t going to stay down. That fire in me wouldn’t die. Because purpose doesn’t disappear just because life hits you hard.
And in the middle of that wreckage, music came back to me — like a lifeline. Not just for entertainment, but for my own self therapy. Writing songs, building artists, rediscovering my voice — it reminded me who I was before the pain... and who I was called to be on the other side of it. God doesn't cause bad things to happen, He will however call all things into action for good . What the enemy wanted to use to destory us, God used to build us.
The struggle pulled me back to my faith. I stopped pretending I could carry it all on my own. I realized I needed God more than I needed control. And it was in that surrender that I started to see the truth clearly: that joy isn’t the absence of struggle... it’s what survives it.
Prairie Punx was born in that moment.
Not out of hype or marketing — but out of failure. Out of rejection. Out of the deep conviction that truth matters, and that bold faith still has a place in this world.
This isn’t just a clothing line. It’s my testimony.
It’s truth you can wear.
It’s rebellion with a backbone.
It’s a reminder that God does His best work in broken places — and if you're willing to stand for something real, you're never truly alone.
